Catching Up

not much going here except the ridin' lifestyle. ride, rinse, repeat. what lap am i on again? oh yea, seven. since january 20th, i have religiously (sic) ridden four days a week with only three times on the trainer. today, i'll break that stride and only be doing a three day week with two- 'two consecutive days off'. so much for the eighth loop but fatigue has tightened it's grip on my legs.

here's a short synopsis of my last few week(end)s...

- kicking off the lansing brewfest with a nice 50 mile blood sugar depleting ride with paula and setting the encore with a double buy in on beer chips and heading straight for the double ipa-s.

- severe droppage on 'the way home uphill tempo-sprint repeats'. reminder to self: low cadence hill repeats are only a mid-ride appetizer for the real meal of the day- sprinting home for beer and food!

- doing my long mid-mich pub n' grub route. hmm... having to walk a few 50-100 yard stretches of glacial icepack on an exposed, crowned road is not that fun. especially shuffling along into a 15mph steady head wind. two shuffles forward, one slide back.

firsts for the year:
- 100 miler / 7+ hr ride
- 200+ mile week
- ride w/o studs
- week as the father of a teenager :)
