GLR 08

So what's wrong with this picture? It pretty much spells out the error of my ways...

Although the focus is misdirected, it's a picture from the top of the rollers at the end of the McGraw Bottom section of the Kokopelli Trail, looking at the climb into Yellowjacket Canyon. Clear blue skies, 90+ degrees and a nice headwind- a good spring day for riding.

Not. It's the recipe for a human cookout.

Traversing the canyon took about 2 hours. After flopping around on the ground for an hour or so at the Dewey Bridge campground and not feeling any better, I DNF'd by asking for and accepting a can of sugar water from a rafter. Insert mental note here. Heh.

Centralized riding out of Moab was the theme for the remainder of my trip. Plenty of time to think about the next run at this monster.

Or maybe a slightly supported shakedown run of the Paradox and/or Tabegauche in the fall.
